And that impression is set to deepen with the announcement that famous American brand Caesars Entertainment Corporation is heading to the city.
Innovative developer Meraas has partnered with the company behind the legendary Las Vegas hotel to add further sparkle to the emerging Bluewaters Island development.
Expected to open in the fourth quarter of the year, the hotels include the exclusive 178-key Caesars Palace Bluewaters Dubai. It will be only the second Caesars Palace in the world and will feature one indoor and two outdoor swimming pools, a 630sq metre spa and a health centre with stunning views of Ain Dubai, as well as six restaurants, beach club and conference centre.
Caesars Bluewaters Dubai will feature 301 rooms, two outdoor swimming pools, three restaurants, three meeting rooms equipped to provide business services, and an 850sq metre event hall. Both hotels will have an array of amenities and services and offer direct access to a 450-metre private beach.
Over the past five years, Meraas has invested in an innovative AED18 billion portfolio of key leisure and entertainment projects that includes Dubai Parks and Resorts, Roxy Cinemas, Hub Zero, Mattel Play! Town, The Green Planet, Dubai Arena, Ain Dubai, Laguna Waterpark and Dubai Safari.
HE Abdulla Al Habbai, Group Chairman of Meraas, says: “We are creating unique experiences and leveraging strategic partnerships to showcase the best of what Dubai can offer visitors.
‘The landmark arrangement with Caesars Entertainment, which aims to establish Bluewaters as a world-class tourist attraction with exclusive international entertainment opportunities, is a significant achievement for the emirate’s thriving hospitality and entertainment sectors.”
“Through our collaboration with Meraas, we anticipate Bluewaters Island will evolve into the region’s top hospitality, dining and entertainment destination,” adds Mark Frissora, President and Chief Executive Officer of Caesars Entertainment.
