HALFWAY through Ramadan and it seems just about any place with a kitchen is trying to tempt you to break your fast or simply dine with them.  But if you are seeking an iftar that offers something very special, both in terms of food and location, then The Loft at Dubai Opera should be top of your list.

 When it comes to The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina there’s a sense of scale and elegance as the hotel gives over its Serdaal Ballroom to iftar and suhoor.
AN iftar at La Ville Hotel & Suites was always likely to offer something a little different.  From restaurant design to ambience - and the food on the table - the Chival experience doesn’t disappoint.
VINTAGE British cruise liner the QE2 and iftar may seem an unlikely pairing at a glance. But when you remember the Queen Elizabeth II – to give her the full title – is now resident in Dubai, it starts to make a little more sense.  THE permanent mooring of the QE2 in Mina Rashid has certainly caught global interest.
And with the restored luxury liner now open to the public as a floating hotel, it is showcasing its unique attributes by serving its version of the fast-breaking supper. BY all accounts The Courtyard at Manzil Downtown is a great place to dine al fresco at any time of the year. But with Ramadan very much underway, it proves to be an idyllic setting for iftar.  EVEN if you’re not observing Ramadan the anticipation just before one of Dubai’s cannons fires to indicate sun down and the end of fasting is almost tangible at The Courtyard.
ONE thing Dubai is not short of this Ramadan is its range of iftar options. And, for some, that means the chance to try out new locations as they break their fast – or simply join in this special season.  IF iftar is as much about rewarding yourself as it is refreshment and sustenance then the buffet at The St Regis Dubai scores well on all counts.
NEW hotels are springing up all over Dubai – as always – but Motor City recently got its first.  NEW ARRIVAL: Motor City in Dubailand recently landed its first hotel - and it is a place that is hard to miss at night And while the Park Inn by Radisson may have been open barely a few months, it has already added its name to the busy city iftar circuit this Ramadan.
