IF you consider the notion of eating an entire meal in complete darkness a little strange, then imagine throwing in a convincing Halloween theme. That’s what Noire - Dubai’s award-winning dining in the dark concept restaurant - is doing for an entire month. And, we can confirm, it is something both very unusual and a bit spooky.
Just don’t wear white clothing… DUBAI has always been a place to dream. One new bright and breezy brunch takes that a little further by getting you to imagine that you are in the fresh air and cool climate of an Alpine resort... On the wall one of several framed statements proclaims the banishing of PET plastic from the 650-room property will reduce the number of water bottles used in a year by a staggering 306,630.
“Imagine the effect if every hotel in Dubai did the same,” says hotel general manager Jo-Ella Moore. AMONG the many things Dubai does well are great views and wonderful food. The Sunset Brunch at Pure Sky Lounge & Dining gives you both of those as day slips gracefully into night. We check out a classic Dubai dining experience - and discover it continues to be exactly that and more.
COOKING programmes continue to be all the rage wherever you’re watching telly in the world it seems – but one show seems to trump them all. MasterChef has been giving aspiring chefs the chance to shine on prime-time TV for a generation. And now a unique Dubai restaurant is open and celebrating the format and their food.
