And one of its key hospitality hotspots becomes a place where wedding dreams are made and realised this week when The Ajman Palace Hotel hosts one of its biggest event draws.
Beginning on Wednesday and running for three days, the beachfront resort hosts The Ajman Palace Hotel Wedding Fair (TAPHWF), bringing together wedding planners, prospective brides and a host of wedding service providers.
It is the third year that the luxury bridal exhibition – the biggest and only hotel wedding trade fair to be staged in the Northern Emirates – has taken place.
Held in association with Ajman Tourism Development Department, more than 70 leading brands, vendors, fashion designers and wedding planners, specialising in catering to luxury weddings, will participate.
"Finding the right promotional platforms to target couples-to-be is crucial for success in the wedding business,” says Ferghal Purcell, General Manager of The Ajman Palace Hotel.
“Being the largest and most luxurious bridal fair in the Northern Emirates, The Ajman Palace Hotel Wedding Fair, offers a unique opportunity for wedding vendors to meet 'couples-to-be' and conduct business under one roof.

“This year we expect to attract more than 2,000 affluent, high net worth visitors, members of Royal families and top-notch VIPs that will allow participants to showcase their products and services to the most high-profile families.
“At the same time TAPHWF will provide customers the ideal platform to meet and source quality products and services with dedicated sections for beauty, fashion, jewellery, confectionery, linen, porcelain, tourism boards, banks, airline companies, photography, and plenty more. In addition, during the event, top industry experts will share invaluable advice on creating a dream wedding."
And as well as providing a great space and setting for exhibitors to demonstrate their wares, services and fashion – and for visitors to further formulate their big day plans – The Ajman Palace also gets to showcase itself as a great wedding ceremony venue.

Certainly the hotel, ideally placed for sandy beachscape and The Corniche as well as Ajman City and airports, is no stranger to hosting both major events and a couple’s big day or wedding celebrations. With its views of the Arabian Gulf and regionally inspired architecture, there’s a romantic feel to the hotel that can underline any significant gathering – or simply provide the basis of a romantic weekend away.
MustDoDubai sampled the latter just ahead of the wedding fair, including a stay in The White Suite with its fresh décor, great views and spacious comfort.
From the love heart and cleverly-crafted towel swans on the bed to the plush yet modern furniture, the suite has a special feel that any newlyweds would surely embrace during their big day.
And for a fun factor - on the food front, at least - Dragon's Place does an entertaining teppenyaki display and dine experience, as well as cosy tables with some great dishes from the Orient. If you want shisha, head a few floors further up to the Nojoom Lounge for a variety of flavours and a view of Ajman Marina and the Ruler's Court.
"There are few events in your life more memorable than your wedding,” continues Ferghal.
“Boasting the largest ‘Al Saalah’ Ballroom (divisible into three rooms), The Ajman Palace Hotel is the most prestigious and romantic address in the Northern Emirates.
