THE phrase 'the height of luxury' takes on a whole new meaning at Millennium Resort Mussanah.
For this is surely one the few hotels in the world that can lay claim to operating a dedicated dual zip-line for its more daring guests this Eid break.
YELPS of excitement are not uncommon on the stretch of coast that hosts the award-winning Millennium Resort Mussanah.
Many of them come courtesy of daredevil visitors who opt to tackle and experience the 175m ‘flight’ over the main swimming pool area.
It is likely such unusual attractions caught the attention of judges at the World Travel Awards, which recently crowned this destination as Oman’s Leading Family Resort during a ceremony in Abu Dhabi.
The location of the awards was apt for such a handover, seeing as the UAE accounts for 250-300 of the resort’s guests per month.

General manager Dermot Birchall confirms his resort is popular with UAE visitors, not least now Dubai is less than five hours away (passport checks allowing).
