BOUTIQUE hotel The Retreat Palm Dubai MGallery is hosting 50 masterpieces with a difference until the end of July.
The new Sofitel-related property – the first holistic wellbeing resort in the Middle East – has just unveiled the colourful results of charity art project “Little Picasso”.
The show is part of hospitality group AccorHotels’ Planet 21 initiatives and Ramadan 2018 activities and has happened in collaboration with ZeeArts and Senses Residential and Day Care Centre for Special Needs.
The work, which occupies two walls and is available for purchase, follows a unique art session in which 18 artist-volunteers from ZeeArts joined 20 special needs children from Senses to work on inspiring paintings under the theme Happiness, Kindness, Love and Generosity.

Resort General Manager Samir Arora, for one, seems impressed with the standard of work.
“We are honored and delighted to be a part of this superb initiative, giving back to the community and supporting the Senses Centre who do such commendable work,” he says.
“I would like to share heartfelt thanks to all those volunteer artists who joined us for the project, who made such difference to these children’s live.
“We hope to do the same by featuring the pieces for sale. I implore all to visit the exhibition and see the fantastic work these children have created.”
Head of ZeeArts, Zaahirah Muthy, reflected those sentiments. “Ramadan is a time for reflection and giving - it resonates with all,” she says.
