Among other things, each December it is the venue for the annual Swiss Christmas Market - a popular fixture for well over a decade – as well as a thriving Oktoberfest.
Now the property has made good use of the space and the cooler winter months by introducing Al Nafoura Lounge. An outdoor lounge and dining area, it opened just before the festive climax with residents and visitors in mind.
The menu, which includes a separate breakfast section, is based on sharing platters and offers significant variety from Arabic favourites to sushi, accompanied by refreshing and innovative beverages, mocktails and long drinks. These are completed by desserts, Turkish coffee or Moroccan tea.
So, you can try traditional fattoush, continue with prawn tempura, followed by lamb kofta or a classic cheeseburger and end with a chocolate lava cake or iced watermelon with lychees.
“The concept of the lounge is designed as a pop-up outdoor living room which will still allow the hotel to host large events like the aforementioned crowd pullers in the future,” adds Beach Rotana Abu Dhabi.
